Joseph Martin

Dr. Joseph Martin, MD, PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Harvard University, is the author or co-author of more than 300 scientific articles and reviews, and is one of the editors of "Harrison’s Principles of Internal Medicine", a widely used medical textbook. He has also served on the editorial boards of the New England Journal of Medicine, Annals of Neurology, and Science.

Dr. Martin is a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and a member of the American Association of Physicians and the American Neurological Association, serving the latter as President in 1989. He was awarded the AAMC Abraham Flexner Award in 1999.
